CATHOLIC IDENTITY & THE CREATION OF A PERFORMANCE & DEVELOPMENT CULTURE

FOCUS:  School Leaders / School Staff Groups

SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

This service involves an exploration and analysis of the key documents of the Congregation for Catholic Education since Vatican II.  The purpose is to identify some of the key characteristics of Catholic Schools as identified by Church Documents on Catholic Education.  It is an opportunity to reflect on Church Tradition and the ministry of Catholic education.

Such a reflection will lead to the identification of what constitutes culture from an ecclesial and religious perspective.

Participants will be encouraged to apply these insights to a critique of their own school's Vision and Mission and to their own professional practice.

This will lead to some critical thinking on whether current "targets" or "Key Performance Indicators" contribute to or inhibit or contradict the Catholic Identity and culture of their school/s.

SERVICE STYLE:  Interactive workshop.

SERVICE DURATION:  One day.
