DESIGNING A PERFORMANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CULTURE

FOCUS:  Specific school / college communities

SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

This service involves working with Principals and Leadership Teams to:

  • design school specific Performance Management Systems.


The components of such a system are:

  • induction of teachers new to the school or new to a role within the school.
  • multiple sources of feedback for teachers.
  • individualized plans to meet teacher development needs with reference to the School Improvement Plan.

The processes that underpin these components are:

  • monitoring, coaching
  • active use of feedback for reflection and change
  • peer to peer learning


SERVICE OUTCOME:

A detailed action plan that consists of:

  • a clearly stated set of anticipated outcomes
  • a clear recognition of where the school is at relative to the desired outcomes
  • action steps that will build capacity and move the school towards its desired goals and outcomes taking into account its unique context.


SERVICE STYLE:  Capacity building through facilitative consultancy.

SERVICE DURATION:  By negotiation.
