DESIGNING A PERFORMANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CULTURE
FOCUS: Specific school / college communities
SERVICE DESCRIPTION:
This service involves working with Principals and Leadership Teams to:
- design school specific Performance Management Systems.
The components of such a system are:
- induction of teachers new to the school or new to a role within the school.
- multiple sources of feedback for teachers.
- individualized plans to meet teacher development needs with reference to the School Improvement Plan.
The processes that underpin these components are:
- monitoring, coaching
- active use of feedback for reflection and change
- peer to peer learning
SERVICE OUTCOME:
A detailed action plan that consists of:
- a clearly stated set of anticipated outcomes
- a clear recognition of where the school is at relative to the desired outcomes
- action steps that will build capacity and move the school towards its desired goals and outcomes taking into account its unique context.
SERVICE STYLE: Capacity building through facilitative consultancy.
SERVICE DURATION: By negotiation.
